The salty flavor of miso compliments the tangy taste of sampalok (tamarind).

The Sinigang na Salmon sa Miso will take 35 to 4 minutes to cook. In this recipe, it will make up to 4 servings.

Sinigang na Salmon sa Miso Ingredients

* 1 kilo salmon head and belly
* 1/2 kilo sampalok na hilaw
* 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
* 5 slivers of ginger
* 1 cup red tomatoes, cubed
* 1 cup white miso (ground soy beans)
* 5 to 6 cups water
* 2 heads mustasa
* 1/2 bundle sitaw, cut 2 inches long
* 2 pieces talong, cut 1 inch long
* 1 puso ng saging, cut 2 inches long

Sinigang na Salmon sa Miso Instructions

1. To make sampalok broth: Put sampalok in a small pot and cover with water. Boil until tender, about 10 minutes. Remove sampalok from water. Place in a strainer or colander and mash using the back of a sandok back into the pot of water. Set broth aside.
2. Saute ginger, tomatoes, and miso in vegetable oil. Add water and let boil.
3. Put salmon and return to a boil.
